February, 2010: Sooooo ^_^ okay... I am raising fund so that I can join SAG-AFTRA One Union of the entertainment industry. "All new members pay a one-time-only initiation fee, plus semi-annual dues at the time of joining. The national initiation fee rate is currently $3,000 (initiation fees may be lower in some areas). Annual base dues are $198. In addition, work dues are calculated at 1.575 percent of covered earnings up to $500,000." The membership is a significant rite of passage for every working performer. Since I'm pursuing a career in the industry, it's beneficial for me to join the One Union.
